Lodha Developers Buybacks Deutsche Bank Stake For R2542Cr
From this news item, somehow i get a feeling that the Lodha projects will get delayed BIG TIME! The article mentions that Lodha Developers has bought back stake by paying money which has been generated from residential sales. This means that the money they have been collecting as advance for booking flats lately in New Cuffe Parade project (20%-30% advance amounts close to Rs30-60 lacs/flat for booking) and Casa Rio Dombivili has been given to Deutsche Bank.
I am worried for all the buyers who have put in their hard-earned money into their projects- must praise Lodha for their superb marketing efforts!!! With all the money gone to Deutsche bank, they will obviously now go very slow on these projects- since all the money they have collected has gone to DB and they will now ask for more money from customers to make any progress on the projects. Lodha has a very bad record for completion of projects- any idea how much was Bellissimo (Lower Parel) delayed!! ?
So basically what Lodha has done is that it has increased it's own stake in the company using people's money!!
