What are the things that Groffr can help me buy?
Groffr can help you with your purchase of real estate, cars and high-end electronics. We would not be able to provide deals for restaurants, spas, movie theatres, internet websites et al.
Could you advise me on how exactly does it work?
The process is simple. An individual can "Suggest a Deal" (suggests a product for which he wants a deal) and then wait for other like-minded people to join his group OR he can join an already existing group for the same or similar product. As soon as the group crosses a certain threshold membership figure, Groffr, along with the Deal Champion, negotiates with the manufacturer or the seller of the particular product. If the negotiation is successful, all the group members are informed about the deal and are then given a certain time interval to check the product and make their purchases. In case, the negotiations do not yield any result after a sustained effort, the deal is dropped and the members are informed about the same on their registered email addresses.
If you don't get enough people by the specified date, does it mean that the deal is off for good?
If the group doesn't get enough people by the specified date, it becomes dormant and no negotiations are done on its behalf. However, if there is a spurt in the number of people interested in the deal at any given point of time, the negotiations are revived.
Since you may not get enough people for a group, is it a good idea to join 2-3 groups?
Yes, in case negotiations go through for one particular deal, we inform the other group members too who have shown interest in a similar product, about the deal. Even if a particular group doesn't have enough people and we observe there are multiple groups interested in similar products, each with low participation, we still go ahead with the negotiations.
I had started / joined a group but did not hear from Groffr after that.
Generally, for purchases of high value, negotiations may take a long time. There are cases when the seller does not provide/supply a deal due to demand-supply constraints. In such cases, we try and negotiate a deal for similar products/projects. We keep the group members informed on a regular basis. The endeavour on our part is to get a deal which perfectly fits a customer's needs or a deal which fits his/her needs as closely as possible.
What or who is a Deal Champion?
A Deal Champion is the person who can show leadership skills and get a deal for the entire group. It can be a buyer, a broker, a seller or anybody else. The idea is simple: once a significant number of people have formed group, a Deal Champion (along with us or individually) can get a Group Deal for the group. Once the Deal Champion has posted the deal (please write to admin@groffr.com for the same) and enough people have liked the deal, the deal goes live. Groffr's team will then arrange for the site visit/trials and promote the deal to the other users of the website. Whatever profit Groffr makes from the deals, the same is shared with the Deal Champion. Do write to admin@groffr.com to know more.
Can I post a deal if I have one?
Yes, if you think you have a good deal, please write in to us with the deal details at admin@groffr.com. Please note that no requests will be entertained without separate group discounts.
If I get buyers, group of buyers or a deal, will I get compensated and how?
Yes, if you can get buyers or group of buyers, we shall share with you a part of the profits we make from the sales from those buyers. Please write to us at admin@groffr.com for more details.
